The building is the Pantheon, a famous Roman temple and still (I believe) the largest open enclosed space in any building in the world. It's since been converted into a Church.
You should definitely check it out. It's an architectural masterpiece!

i can see why it's one of your favorites! the black and white gives it a really mysterious sort of feel, which is appropriate for the pantheon. when did you go?

Two summers ago... we went to Venice, Florence, and Rome, and then toured all over Greece! It was an amazing trip. Most of my photos are from that trip and a trip to Paris and Greece we took the summer before that.

i'll bet it was amazing...i love traveling, but the furthest i've been out of the country is the Caribbean. it's dream of my dad's and mine to visit Italy someday, since that's where his family is from. Did you go to Sicily?

No, we didn't. The focus of those trips were really Greece and Italy was just kind of on the way so we dropped by for a couple days in each city I mentioned
