Description
In ancient Rome, there was a certain fascination with Egyptian culture; many obelisks were erected in the city. This obelisk stands outside of St. Peter's Basilica, and some say it was present at St. Peter's execution. (The statue is of St. Peter; opposite is a statue of St. Paul)
