„It shines,” said Artyom to Melnik in a weak voice. „It shines,” he said, looking at Daniel.
„It shines, OK, it shines,” repeated Daniel, reassuringly.
Most favorite book of my life.

I already thought about beginning Futu.re.
Problem is, i am not even finished with Metro 2033, because i am really hard with reading books over 300 pages.
And Futu.re is a (at me so-called) "FAT BOOK" too. -.- I prefer books up to maximum of 300 pages or if over 300, then splittet in 2 or 3 single books, each one a closed part of the story.
Best example is my beloved story "Traitors of Magic" and "Prisoners of Magic" from Rebecca Wild (austrian author).

It is quite ironic that in the end, the U.S. was the one who made the Red Star "Never to fall down", and how the star now hypnotizes people - could be taken as a form of propaganda, if it wouldn't be the Post-Apocalyptic world and all. Also, the fact there's a man-eating monster INSIDE the building with the red star on top... Well, if that isn't a flick towards the whole U.S.S.R., I don't know what else could be.

I mean, other than the man-eating monster.
It would be very interesting to show a ranger or someone exploring it in one of the novels

I'm guessing most of the stuff in there is perfectly preserved, it's just that the monster draws everybody in, so really nobody can explore it.

A very inventive way of showing what the author was trying to leave unexplained, and without disturbing Glukhovshy's mood of the whole Kremlin piece...+fav!
