I havn't submitted anything for quite some time, so I figured I'll post a screenshot of my desktop since tweaking it was the only more or less creative thing I did recently.Fluxbox theme (slightly modified): [link]
The nice wallpaper is from some guy named Freeman, I don't recall where I found it and google failed me so I can't provide a link...

As for mc, I was looking for a nice dark color theme, but didn't find one on the web, so I started to mess around with the ini file with rather poor results.
Then I found out, that this b/w color theme you see in the screenshot can be invoked by using the -b switch.
I should read man pages more often

so just to clarify, I have never heard of fluxbox before.. it kinda reminds me of litestep.. is it a shell replacement? is it compatible with windows 7 or is this more like a litestep for linux based OSes? sorry for all the questions, im just curious

Fluxbox is a window manager for Linux only.
But there is another one very similar to Flux called Blackbox which was ported for windows -> [link]
If I recall correctly you can use pretty much all the Blackbox themes with this (also Fluxbox themes).
