The face (or the lack of it ) wasn't the hardest part, took me about ten minutes.
But it took me over an hour to free all the barbwire from the background.
I almost went pixel by pixel with the pen tool and finally I had to sacrifice it for the benefit of the overall composition.
That happens to me all the time.

Yea, I have had pictures like that, it's a true nightmare. I find using the patch tool to be most beneficial.

I love this piece. The Sepia tones adds to the mystery of the subject and her surroundings. The shading and lighting are good. The proportions and perspectives are perfect too..now the only downside.. along the border on the lower left side you can see the color of the original background image which distracts you and takes you away from the main subject. But other than that a very nice piece. Hope you don't mind the honest critique.
