Sure thing. The movie version was too much like "Look to me I'm so badass with my muscles" and lacks of subtility.
I dislike a lot of things from the movie, maybe the one thing I like is the "Janitor" monster.

Huge SH fan here and I JUST finished my cosplay of this guy. So just a few things I noticed:
-Hands, the first three fingers are one giant puppet.
-Over his right breast should be three straps that hold his robe closed.
-His back, right over his neck and between his back and the helmet should be a 'sack' and two more straps coming down from the shoulder straps down about a foot or so, maybe a bit less.
-The helmet has strips that follow the seams of where the sides would be welded together. This is on all the sides except the very back one where the two most back pieces meet, an ambiguous black strip replaces it.
-On the front right panel, should be a nozzle sticking out close to the front but centered between all 3 sides.
On the left panel, towards the lop a pieced comes from the welding strip connecting the front to the back, and goes to the pieces connecting the front to the side. This is about 6-7inches down and goes straight across.
-Lastly, from the right panel, around the top, going to the center of the top of the front most panel is a tube. Its just sticking our from one to the other.
Other than that AMAZING JOB! I saw that you wanted some critique work on it and thought Id drop by because I studied this model for months straight. So feel free to check out my cosplay of him too, and I hope I helped and didnt insult you! The textures are amazing by the way, especially the helm.

That's pretty awesome. The only thing I see is that I *think* the helmet may need to be a bit longer, I could be wrong. But it looks great nonetheless!

Very nicely done. The only thing I'd suggest would to be to make the helmet a little shinier, though it may have just been the settings in my game & TV that made it so.
I would love to see this animated.

Wow...that is damned impressive work. O_o Looks like it came right out of the game, but with a helluva lot more detail.

Thanks. Yes, me too, and I don't like the one in the movie. It looks too "I AM A BIG MONSTA AND IM GONNA KILL YOU!!!". Nothing subtle in it.

I agree a 100% with you. The original PH was great creature and just disturbing to look at. I found that he lost his meaning placing him outside the Silent Hill 2. *sign*

Yep, he must stay inside SH2 forever, with all the meaning behind his design.
It kills me to see that many "fans" want him back in every episodes because "he rox so much lol".
Old-style SH forever.

Lovely. Though the fingers bother me.
Too points. Weren't his fingers fused, too? Similar to Valtiel's.

Yep there are too pointy. It was one of my first 3D models so I didn't know how to make them better ^^
I should try to make another version, see if I can make it better. The pyramid is too big too.

wow , you modelled it perfectly o_O where did you find the actual textures?
also...I thought he wore a buther's smock/apron, but...now it looks more like a sack he's wearing. is it...? o__o that seems more creepier now.

ThoRCX In reply to Silent-Neutral [2010-03-23 04:24:34 +0000 UTC]
The textures are taken from the original game.
Butcher from Silent Hill Origins wears a apron ( [link] ), Pyramid Head wears a sort of dirty dress. It was actually an imitation of the Valtiel's wears.

Thanks. Never heard about it? Strange, Max and Maya are the 2 most used 3D softwares in the world. They are both made by the same campany, Autodesk. They doesn't work in the same way, I never used Maya but I know both are good and different.
