This is a percussion model by the looks of it. Does it fire?
If so, how much would you charge for a commissioned piece?

By the time of percussion dueling had mainly gone out of style but there were matched pairs of percussion dueling pistols made after the development of percussion caps, though they were mainly for show.

sorry I just thought I saw rifling inside the barrel due to it's barrel's shape.

Which school did you go to? I've been considering gunsmithing as a career.

Sorry for the delay, I went to Trinidad college gunsmithing program. I also attended engraving school with Ray Cover and with Lee Griffiths at GRS engraving school in Emporia Kansas. Let me know if you decide to go to gunsmithing school and drop me a line if i can answer any questions.

That is a beautiful pistol, and I'm a sucker for octagonal barrels. What would you charge to make a pistol like this, minus all of the fantastic scrollwork?
