This is a percussion model by the looks of it. Does it fire?
If so, how much would you charge for a commissioned piece?

Yes, it's percussion and I have shot it quite a few times, I like all of my art to have a level of function and as I'm a gunsmith by trade it would kind of be a sin to make a non working model.

By the time of percussion dueling had mainly gone out of style but there were matched pairs of percussion dueling pistols made after the development of percussion caps, though they were mainly for show.

That is a beautiful pistol, and I'm a sucker for octagonal barrels. What would you charge to make a pistol like this, minus all of the fantastic scrollwork?
