It's a plush of Ling Yao/Greed from Fullmetal Alchemist! : D I was so glad when they put out Brotherhood and we finally got to see Ling and Lingreed animated. ^.^ I liked Ling's voice too-- it's sort of unusual for me to have read a manga extensively before seeing the show so I was worried I'd be startled by some of those new character voice actors, but I found I was missing the ones that changed between the first FMA Anime more than minding the new ones. Like Winly and Roy especially weirded me out now and then with their voices being slightly off from before...luckily the two brothers were the same!It's funny--when I first read the Manga and Ling was introduced I took the Xing folks for some sort of brief side plot derailing us from our main story, and I disliked and resented them...but the more I got to know them and the more they became intigrated and even essential to that big overarcing plot the more I came to like them, till this point where Ling is one of my favorite characters. I wish there had been a bit about Xing in the epilogue, though in other respects I really enjoyed and appreciated the wind-down of the pages that wrapped things up after the action was done. Maybe someday I can wish for a gaiden...
At any rate, the doll! ^_^;;; I sewed his bangs perpendicular to his head, so you can easily flip them from one side to the other, since it seemed to be a device in the Manga that Greed would be shown with the hair to his right, and Ling would have the hair to the left when he was in control. It wasn't 100% but it seemed way too often to be coincidence. So! You can switch the in-charge personality with a simple flip of the hair! XD
He/they are about 10" tall made of suedecloth with fleece hair and clothes. The white on his jacket is iron on transfer.
He/they are for sale as well, note me if interested! Though I don't think I'll mind if he sticks around for a bit so I can peer at him. ^.^; He would be in the low detail chibi bracket price wise. (Price brackets here: [link] )

Thank you! I love him too. I wasn't so keen on Ling when he first showed up but as the manga went on he and Greed became one of my favorite parts. ^_^

i need to finish reading the manga, i watched all of fma brotherhood. yea i didnt really like ling either but then when he became one with Greed it became love lol

I am so glad they made brotherhood, but there were some cute moments or jokes and such in the manga that got omitted, or just came across more clearly, so it's definitely worth the read. ; ) Hehe, we had a similar experience then!

The hair is BRILLIANT! XD I love the concept so much! I liked Ling right away, it's great re-reading the manga after you've gotten through the rest of the plot, because you can really see how Hiromu Arakawa foreshadowed everything to come. It's wonderful.
He is really cute and well done, I love the shape of his face, excellent work!

As far as her foreshadowing I totally agree, I read somewhere she even made Havok a smoker so he would have that lighter for Roy in the fight with Lust... she foreshadows and plans out everything, it's such an amazing, full formed piece of work, I just didn't know at the time that there were in fact Reasons for people like Ling and that I would soon come to love him. FMA is my all time favorite manga. ^_^

It did indeed feel like she planned everything intricately, I am trying to do the same for my future comic!
I became interested in FMA through the first animated series, and then I got into the manga - which although I still enjoyed the anime, I far prefer Arakawa's original vision. I loved Brotherhood, every character and event seemed to have a driving purpose, and the world seemed so much bigger and more interesting. I loved the more paranormal-based story over the multiple dimensions one too. It's an excellent read!

Also I fully agree on the manga being the best rendition over the multiple dimensions. I really enjoyed the first version of FMA too but I could have done without the movie. ^_^; The idea of the homunculi all being copies of failed ressurections was an interesting one though. --A much as the manga is the best version to me, I did love seeing it all animated in Brotherhood! ^_^

The FMA movie is something I watch purely for the nice battle sequence with Gluttony, plot and character-wise, it was a failure IMO. I liked the theory behind the Homunculi in both versions too! It's interesting how the story was interpreted by the anime crew before it had been finished by Arakawa!

I agree with you there, they put some fairly epic scenes in the movie, but yeah you had to sort of just take them a la carte to enjoy..ahh...I wonder if there will be more little gaiden/omake thingies even now that it's over...I wouldn't want it to all-out start up again..it was a good story and it ended well, but a few short comics on what people were up to down the line and how things played out...that'd be nice. ^_^;
