This photo hits SUPER close to home. The thing I am afraid of is, if she is truly trying for recovery, it's extremely easy to be sucked back in by seeing photos of yourself at a low weight. My advice: take this photo down. If she has a copy, request that she gives it back, if only for her mental and physical health.

Her body looks frail and weak, but in her eyes she looks strong, like she is determined to fight through this.

Sad thing then, that this has so many favs to glorify it. It's a sickness, & I feel it shouldn't be supported in any way. If she sees this, she just might think that being this skinny is what got her that many favs.
Please don't take offense. But I have a friend that died from Bullemia/Anorexia.

Yes, this sickness is very complex; what might give someone strength, can push someone down. She herself has chosen to show these pictures in public in different galleries, I chose to show my photography here.

I think that the beauty of these shots doesn't come from the physical condition of her body its the emotions that Maiju is radiating in her expression and her body language.

The name of the deviantion was a bit confusing (ana=anorexia).
What you said about it is very true. And she needs all the support she can get.
Her name is Maiju and she is indeed feeling better now.
