I'm waiting more than 10 years now, for that special day. Today i'll make my first flight on a space cruiser. My dad told me the 'lost hope' once was a mighty battleship, diving through space nebulas, transforming enemy ships into spacedust. Named after mankinds biggest space battle. The fleet got almost completely vanquished back then. Only a very tricky maneuver by a very smart battleship captain made us win that bloody and dark fight. He got honored with the position as captain for the 'lost hope'. Back then this ship was the beauty of the fleet. The most modern ship ever built. I can't wait to set my feet onto that proud ship...

This time i can't say a lot. I actually started this one with the intention to create a speedpainting. But it evolved and i did not manage to leave my hands off of it. I quite like the result here. I maintained a concept arty like look to catch the dirty atmosphere of a futuristic space port a bit more. Basically digital painting with some photos used to bring in detail where it was needed.

between 25 and 30hrs. i tried a lot of different things with this picture to see how it would probably work. that took a lot of time... but i learned from it. glad you like it. thank you.

Solche Bilder von dir mag ich immer gerne, da sieht man dann immer, wie gut du eigentlich zeichnen kannst.
Viel ist eigentlich nicht zu sagen, ein sehr solides und wie immer gutes sowie sehr schönes Digitales Painting von dir.
Die Lichter sind wieder so wie ich sie liebe, der Himmel kann sich wieder mit dem echten messen und die Texturen sind teilweise wieder der Hammer.
Was ich aber gerne noch hervorheben möchte ist die Spiegelung der "Lost Hope" und der Stadt im Boden des "Gateways". Finde ich eine grandiose Idee und eine wundervolle Umsetzung.
Also für mich wieder ein schönes Bild, welches Spaß macht draufzuschauen.

Muss sagen es gefällt mir nicht so wirklich, tolles Setting, aber die Menschen passen nicht so ganz rein, und der allgemeine "grain" oder was das ist stört ebenfalls...

leave it up to me and I'd end up making a book out of it ^__^ It really does remind me of the start of a sci-fi story, or rather, that key moment when the boy decides to be a captain of a space ship (of course, he'd end up being crew for the story.) ^__^
