Description Now this one is a Vue render i had on my HD for a while now. Pretty much like my previous Comcept painting. A few days ago i took me a few hours to mess around with it and unleashed a tour of filters on it. As well as textures and adjustment layers and stuff stuff stuff. Quick and dirty. Result ends in a, from my point of view, nice Blade Runner’ish setup.

Basically what i wanted to portrait was a kind of docking station within a huge futuristic city. Now the ships we see have a crew of probably 200-300 people. So the dimensions here are pretty huge. Just the way i like it. All i wanted was to transfer an idea and i hope i do here. Hope you like the vision and style.

6hrs – Photoshop – Vue – Intuos 3

Wow; how did you do the Vue - City part?? I thought Vue was for terrain, not for buildings!

Not quite my tastes, but it's a dramatic scene, almost abstract from afar, I guess that's what the future will be like though - huge an overly complex ...I'm glad I live today

tztz immer diese falsche Bescheidenheit.. naja, da ich mich mit dem Prog nicht so auskenne, kann ich das eigentlich auch nicht beurteilen.

at first when I saw it I was bit critical in my mind, but when I reed that you made it in vue I momentarily thought "not bad"

vue texture system is hard to grasp - respect

You're a monster!
All those lights... You did it in photoshop?
And what with vue?
Thanks

oh i have my techniques regarding the lights. so it's not a too big deal. learned a lot through these comcept series paintings regarding effectively adding details and using multipass rendering with vue. it's fun for concept art stuff.

I see. Thanks for answering.
Just a little thing a didn't understand: the buildings and the ships are made with vue, or in combination with photoshop?
Thanks

tigaer In reply to DottGonzo [2009-09-03 21:11:55 +0000 UTC]

basically it's all vue. the ships the buildings the whole scene. for this pic i mainly used photoshop just to add smaller details... lights... windows... textures.

added a link to the description that shows the vue plate.

I didn't know you could do such things with vue!
I think I have to learn how to use it...
Thank you for the kind answer. Now I have a entire new world to discover

you can to a loooot of things with vue. especially the 3d object import really gives you immense creative freedom.

Ah-ah!
So you didn't create the spaceships and building in vue. You just rendered it. Am I right? Tell me I'm not

no updates it's a concept pic... it's meant to be more suggestive than detailed. beside that it's an absolute taste thing i guess
