I had to do some photo reference studies for a course I did. This guy took me a few hours to do. Copying photos is easy but we were not allowed to use the colour picker tool! so I had this open on my other screen so I would not be tempted to cheat, and did it all from sight alone
no tracing!

I love how you've been able to to incorporate the background blur in things like the head "feathers" (or whatever they are called...), it really ups the photographic effect!
