A B&W athmosphere fits this already partially historical shot, as the promised follow up to my last gallery picture of 4020-316 on the very same spot. It shows the line still in diesel operation with DMU 5047-059 on the railroad crossing next to the silo headed northbound for Gänserndorf, lower austria. The crossing back then still had no lights, so the classic very noisy aproach made sure everyone around would notice the aproaching MU and occasional freight train, which seemingly had worked for many years except for the last day of september 2019, where DMU 057 crashed into a semi truck at this crossing and consequently caught fire, luckily without fatal injuries, but train and truck had been a total writeoff.
