Description
This is a rundown on the suit and shield's functions and capabilities. It also touches on the design choices, and the fabrics and materials that would be used or emulated if the concept were to be made for a live-action production. Mind you, this design was meant for either the present-day portion of "The First Avenger: Captain America" movie (if there are any in the first place), or the upcoming Avengers movie. this is really cool i think the best part of this entire thing is your concept for the magnetic shield, it's far more logical than trying to say he can perfectly slide his arm into two leather straps when it's moving at speeds that would harm or kill a man

thanks! but no, i had the serum very much in mind when i designed the suit. i'd like to see a captain america movie set in a realistic, modern, action packed war movie...kind of like black hawk down (not plot or tone-wise, just in terms of realism), but PG-13 (barely, almost R-rated), with a little more hand to hand combat, and some acrobatics for good measure. now, although the serum enhances his abilities to the peak of human performance, he's not bulletproof...and his back is completely vulnerable when the shield is on his arm. so, i wanted to give him a suit that would protect most of his vital organs, yet is lightweight and bendable at all joints, allowing him a large amount of flexibility.

I admire how you deliberately added in the movable chin armor, the seal around the shield's star, and the angular influences off a one-dollar bill. Good work!

thanks alot! i always enjoy adding layers to my designs. it helps ground them, and it hints to the viewer that there's more to know about the character.

hmm...maybe subconsciously? i don't think he ever came to mind when i was designing the suit, but i see the similarities in the chin and the back of the helmet.

Like the small inscription on his shield.
Using electromagnet to draw the shield is a rather fresh idea.
I hope Cap don't run into Magneto when he is in this garb.
