My watercolour paints finally arrived and I didn't waste a single moment in putting them to useI wasn't going to put this up initially because it was my first time with watercolour paints but I figured it would be nice to get feedback so I know how to improve rather than relying completely on trial and error...so hit me with constructive criticism!
The eyes/eyelids/eyebrows were probably my favourite part...I thought I'd stuff them up for sure because I was working on such a small area with a brush but I didn't! And I ended up enjoying it a lot
I felt like I ruined the background...but it's starting to grow on me. It looked unfinished without one anyway:
sorry guys for uploading so frequently...I tend to draw more when I'm stressed or not feeling well so I'm afraid you guys have to suffer as well XD

omg I actually want harder lines in mine but I don't know how to...I'm thinking maybe if I let one layer dry completely before adding the next one would help?

I think that is how it works. I keep adding too much water. I don't know how to stop. If you add a lot of water it will push the paint out and add hard lines.

I have trouble keeping colours constant too...like keeping it the same/similar shade when I come back to use it after a break. I haven't touched them since this one, I should really play around with them again

I have trouble with the color consistence too. I think all paint is like that. You should mix up a big batch if you know you'll come back.

Believe it or not, the paints turned out being much easier to use than watercolour pencils for some reason...that said though, my second attempt was so bad! LOL so I think it's definitely something you need to get used to.

I use watercolor last time when I was junior high. it's been a long time. many bad memories about it. when the table so dirty because watercolor. sister and my mother always scolded me, wet and color everywhere hahaha.
I never continue at the practice coloring using watercolor.
now, watercolor is my financial problems hahahaha. because I do not have a watercolor, or brushes and other tools left. if I use "watercolor", maybe it is aquarelle colored pencils ^ _ ^

hahaha yes! They really are messy aren't they? My white desk has already been stained because of it XD I gave the watercolor pencils a go but I found them much harder to use than the actual paints...that said though, I've been too scared to use them again HAHA
