Description
I'm not very familiar with the castles of Antwerp (a province of Belgium). Yesterday my father and uncle (who both, unlike me, live there) took me to see some interesting parts of Antwerp. I'm extremely fascinated by old buildings (wether they are castles, farms or chapels).

This is one of the buildings we took a visit to. Of course this castle is private property (so I took this picture by sticking my camera through the gate), because if it was property of the state, it would either be masacrated with modern additions or just fully demolished and replaced by a modern apartment. When it comes to conserving old architecture Belgium is probably one of the worst states there is (especially the Flemish side (which I happen to be part of)).

Even though these landowners have the luxury of living in these magnificent buildings, you don't want to know what misery they go through to keep them standing.
