The sad part is, if this were around in the 16 hundreds ish, it was mainly used for women, who even felt the leaste bit sad. And they were tortured and killed in those asylums.

It looks so spooky... it reminds me of the one in Charleston. Even though it old and abandoned, it still looks like a very beautiful building.

That barbed wire wouldn't have held me and my mates back. We would've either cut the wire or failing that, dug a hole under the fence...we have done that before

Forget the Amityville House, this is way scarier. This is real and the way you present it, it oozes uncomfortable history best left alone. Fantastic shot and and instant +fave.

No matter how many barbed wires, I could never resist the urge to crawl through and go exploring. Places like that are so hideous... they're so full of torment and the side of humanity that no one wants to admit exists. Mental asylum's always make me cringe -- just looking at a picture of one you can feel a whole range of emotions.
You can just wander. Touch the walls and feel the stories.
