I agree! (although, I like how romance wasn't really even hinted at in the movie. Kept it pure and simple mecha vs monster~)

Yah! I love (some) romance movies. I just find that it tends to just steam roll all over 'non-romance' movies. And then there's time wasted on make-out/sex scenes :/

Oh yeah! At this point...I would think we could expect to see the two of them getting together. Raleigh all but comes out and says so-
"You know Mako...I spent so much time living in the past..I never really thought about the future - until now. I never did have good timing."
Yes, he can now envision the future because he thinks he's found someone to actually share it with. The reason why it's funky timing is because...well his *ahem* thoughts
