A further "improvement" on the T1 Multi-Turreted Heavy Tank , the T2 Multi-Turreted Heavy Tank was an attempt at lightening the T1. The second 75mm gun armed turret was removed which allowed for re-arrangement of the secondary turret, particularly mounting them on opposite corners of the tank. In return helped to reduce the tank's weight, and help to balance it out to some point. The T2 also lost the double-wide tracks from the T1 which significantly increased the tank's ground pressure, and reducing the tank's overall cross country mobility. In the end, the T2 was only built as a prototype, and never accepted with it only being used as training. However, a successor design was drawn up called the "T3".
