You are certainly seeing a pattern, and the pattern is not just you seeing things either. Do enjoy psychadelic rock - some of my greatest influences are record covers from that era and their contemporary descendants - but that enthusiasm is akin to how someone who exclusively plays Minecraft or even Farmville is technically a "gamer". Looking in my playlist you will find Deep Purple and Pink Floyd, Baker Gurvitz Army and Graeme Edge, Hawkwind, Octopus and Uriah Heep, even some of Ian Gillan's jazz fusion and some modern contributions from The Sword and Wolfmother... but usually only a few tracks from each. So no breadth nor deeper understanding to speak of - I mean, most of them have only occasionally touched on psychadelia proper - but the appreciation is there.

Thank you. It was a real treat to paint back in the day as well. Have a liking for older cover art, where the designers knew the chance of accurately matching the content was slim, so they made the most of the opportunity to present their own vision.

If you have the chance, do give the game a look. I believe the creator has it on his personal site, complete with an Atari emulator.
