Psst... I'm the creator of the original Aquasp line you mentioned (I changed accounts after I was locked out of the old one YEARS ago) - and I have no problems with your design! I guess sea snake Pokemon pretty much have to be Water/Poison lol, and I'd only have reason to worry if you'd make your design hydra-based like mine. (I'm not planning to use Aquasp and his evolutions in my updated region anyways, but that ain't relevant for now.) The alternating color bands certainly help to distinguish your designs, as do the ragged fins! My only complaint is that the neck of the final stage looks too short, or the forelimbs too large and high up on the body, which kinda detracts from the sleek, serpentine look. But otherwise I think the final stage looks pretty solid!
Don't be discouraged if your design has the same inspiration as someone else's. If anything, be creative with that same inspiration, and try to think about what you could do with it to make your design stick out in its own unique way. (Like the way I gave Hydrossion multiple heads for example!) If you really want to go with the Midgard Serpent theme for yours (as it seems that your starter theme is different mythologies), perhaps you could work the dragony figureheads of Viking longships into your design, just to make it look more interesting.
Anyway, great work with your starters overall, and I look forward to seeing where you'll this region in the future!

Ah, I didn't know you were still on dA! I do apologize for not commenting sooner, I have been in the midst of an art hiatus.
Still, thanks for reassuring me, because I really was worried for a moment there that it was too similar. In any case, like your work, and will take all of your advice into account! I think that if my art style pick up, I'll try giving my Fakemons a revamp. For some even a redesign.
Thank you for your words, dude. ^^ I know it is quite hard to come up with a unique Fakemon these days, but I'll do my best!

The dex entry says knuckrait has no legs...yet clearly it does.

Oooh, I was prolly thinking arms when I was writing this. Knuckrait is kind of like a Naga in that it slither upright, but leaves it's arms free.

Is the Russo fakemon suggestions page dead? Because I've left a bunch of suggests there and if You are not taking new ones I'll stop.

I've actually seen the suggestions you left, and I very much appreciate the effort you put into all of them. ^^
So no, it's not closed. I'm just taking time to myself, as I figure out how to give my region the variation it needs.
Well, either that, or we end up with 7.8/10 IGN - Too much ice.

Heh, thank ya dude! I think this starter is a well-liked one, and for good reason!
Didja know it learns Thunder by level up? With Drizzle as a Hidden Ability? XD

You're welcome. I was always interested in Sea Snakes, they're somewhat prettier compared to land snakes.
Oh man, can you make this this thing fast; even more so than Kyorgre?

Oh for sure!
I imagine this thing'd have a Base Speed of 130, and a Special Attack of 122. Even better considering I think it'd learn HURRICANE too! And Hydro Pump. If you've got a Drizzle Jormungigas on your hands, you've got one terrifying starter. Very flimsy defenses, but fast, and absolutely terrifying to fight.

Oh man alive, these guys are BIG ballers. As it says on their height chart, they are usually the size of your average Gyarados, and sometimes even BIGGER, which is absolutely monstrous for a Water Starter. Fitting, since they hunt by causing literal storms at sea.

Actually yes! The thing is that they are Pokemon known for causing storms. So they actually learn Thunder by level up, which makes this guy a horseman of the apocalypse if you happen to have Drizzle as an ability. XD
Heheh, for sure! Not only does it gain limbs, but it actually grows freakin huge, which is always a delight!
Thank ya dude!

Thank ya very much dude!
Heh, so glad you like this starter Pokemon. Considering how it basically grows to be the size of a Gyarados. @_@
And so, the real Dex challenge begins!

Also extra trivia?
Coralia learns Thunder by level up, which is great considering it has Drizzle as a Hidden Ability. XD
