So myself and collaborated on the creation of this monstrosity. I partook in some Sonic-related TierMaker lists, but found them wanting, so we created our own, featuring characters from SEGA, Archie, IDW, and some major faces from Fleetway.You can find it for yourself here:Β tiermaker.com/create/slightly-β¦
Characters are generally arranged in order of their first appearance, but there will be discrepancies because I couldn't be arsed to check the dates for them.

I was gonna ask you on Tumblr to explain some things, but the ask box's character limit would have prevented me, so I'll do it here:
If you could include StC's Sonic and Amy Rose as separate characters from their versions in other Sonic media, where would you put them?
Maw the Thylacine at a quite higher tier than the other Egg-Bosses of the post-reboot comic? Very little of him has been seen.Β What did you think was special about him?Β The same could be said about Wave the Swallow:Β I thought she was just "Rouge but on the Babylon Rogues" or something like that.
Something that was also striking for me is that you put Barby Koala at the "Good" tier: personally, I'd have put her in the "Ken Penders" tier, along with Dr Quack and Razorklaw. Likewise,Β I'd be tempted to put Hershey on that same tier, too: I'd like to believe she had potential, but I still can't think what for.
Was there really a character called "Dodonpa"?
With that character being a Penders creation, I'm not surprised that it's an allegory for someone in real life. But I can't figure out who, and I can't find any theory about that on the Wiki either. Could you give me a hint, please?
Shortfuse being annoying?Β He certainly wasn't as likeable as characters like Tekno, but my memories of him weren't that bad either.

I probably wouldn't. I'm not attached to them enough to use them as separate incarnations to the regular ones.
Maw is higher because I feel like his concept was executed perfectly, whereas the others were either irritating, bland, or mishandled. He was creepy, and he was supposed to be creepy.Β
Wave is higher than the Rogues because she's actually an effective rival for Tails, unlike the other two. With her mechanical skills, she can actually pose a threat to Tails in a field that he cares about, without needing a specific caveat to even keep up with her counterpart like Jet does.
Barby wasn't created by Penders, she was a Gallagher creation.

So, the reason to put Wave there was something related to gameplay. If it depended on her portrayal only, would you move her to the same tier as the other Babylon Rogues? Or would you keep her where she was?
And what about Hershey being in "Wasted Potential"?
Oh my... I thought the Dark Legion was just a bunch of fanatic terrorists of some kind, and the Dingo Regime was the allegory for the Nazis (even when the Guardians would have worked much better as a reference to Fascism, had it not been for Penders constantly insisting they were the good guys).
Speaking of the Dark Legion and echidnas in general... Enerjak on par with StC SuperSonic?Β I assumed you'd put him a level or two below: Enerjak barely has a personality of his own, and his powers are the only thing I find truly threatening. And I'm also surprised that Lien-Da is in a tier higher than "Meh".Β I'd like to know why you put each of those two where they are, maybe I've overlooked something.
About Shortfuse: uh... Is that it? I thought it was because he used to be kind of a jerk.
I don't remember the Metal Sonic 3 from anywhere, even though its colour scheme looks... familiar...
Just like with Lien-Da,Β I didn't expect you to put the Hard-Boiled Heavies in such a high tier.Β I thought they were just robot versions of the Deadly Six.

I can't really put Maria very high because she's not so much a full character as an element of Shadow's backstory. Likewise, Amy's never really been a well-written character, and the only solution that seems to have been found for this is to make her more like Sally.

Tails Doll is a actual character and the fans made him a Freddy Krueger copycat. He needs to be in more sonic games so those scary stuff dies down

Eh, he didn't actually have a character in his official appearance in Sonic R. He was just a space-filling robot counterpart to Tails, who was a doll for... some reason.
He didn't appear again until Ian Flynn brought him into the Archie comics, wherein he deliberately played up the references to the creepypasta, even giving it a monster form that Evan Stanley drew as a weird rejected Shin Megami Tensei demon.Β

If Tails can keep showing up Tails Doll should. All he did was race and he should be a anti hero. I want to see what he can do and with all the scary stuff gone. He is free from the terrible curse

Tails is a major character who has been around since 1992. He has a personality. The TailsΒ Doll was a one-off filler character with no personality until Ian decided to make the crappy online stories important.
