Description This whole experiment started when I saw the Pepper Hair over at DAZ [link] and thought it would look great with Poppy. Stupid me was in such a rush to put it in my basket I didn't realise it was for Genesis I don't have GenX nor the time to try and dial in Poppy or Tasha with V5. I got V5 when she first came out but have never made the leap to replacing V4. Alot of it was because of content issues, and how the old auto-fit didn't carry over morphs, but that has been improved with DS4.6. I still prefer V4 though, especialy now I have the Perfect Fixes from Renderosity. I have to admit though, I love the ideas behind Genesis and how one character can do so much. People call it a money spinner, but people were saying that with the leap from V1 too V2, V2 too V3 etc. None the less, after buying Pepper hair I decided not to ask for a refund as an incentive to myself to use Gensis with Poppy re-dialed in at some point in the future...it wont be for some time though...it takes for ever trying to dial a good charatcer So, not being able to use Pepper Hair with Poppy I decide to try making my own gradient mats for the hair I currently use, which started this off a few weeks ago before returning to it tonight for the last two hair props.

First up is Poppy with Glamour Hair which is an old DS3 freebie that I've used for Poppy since day one, just with a magenta colour through the diffuse channel and blonde mats. Here I've created simple gradient mats for the hair.

Second is Brooke Hair which is the hair I use for Tasha but with more custom gradient maps.

Third is Yoanna Hair, with blonde textures but a magenta colour set as it's diffuse colour.

Fourth is Bad Girl Hair which is pretty much the same as Pepper Hair, but for V4...I was a happy toad when I found it and made sure to double check it was for V4. The texture is again blonde, but with magenta set as it's diffuse colour.

The question is, which one should I pick? I want to give Poppy a freshened up look but I am not sure which hair prop to go with, or which hair colour(I can add the gradient effect too the last two hair props just the same as the first two)? Personaly I like them all for their own reasons but can't decide which one to go with, so if you have a favourite from the examples, or think a different mix or colours etc might look good, please let me know.

I'm glamour hair, brooke or yoanna, personal preference only, but I think that bad girl shows off too much forehead and doesnt seem very feminine.

I think Bad Girl would look really cool with your gradient texture.

She's got shorts on, how do we know if she even had hair?

My order of preference

1. Brooke Hair
2. Glamour Hair
3. Yoanna Hair
4. Bad Girl Hair

Brooke Hair looks most sexy.
Glamour Hair looks too simple.
Yoanna Hair looks thin to me somehow.
Bad Girl Hair looks like Skrillex hair.

Question about Brooke Hair, Toadz. How customizable is the tail? Can it drape over her right shoulder?

I really like the Brooke Hair on Poppy and especially the pink / purple gradient map. It makes her look less serious than with the Glamour Hair, although I really like it and gives her a young, sassy look

I like them all, but probably the Bad Girl hair highlights better her cute face
I don't use Genesis too, I have the Perfect fixes for V4 and I think it is even better than the weight mapped joints of Genesis. Besides that, almost all the Genesis content comes from DAZ, and after the merge with the other company they became so unprofessional that I don't want to have anything to do with them anymore

She is sweet. By the way, I know this is probably no place to say that but I tried to bed-test your girls, but can not load them. Perhaps it is my problem, since I use DAZ 3

Personally, I love Glamour Hair with her ... it shows her face, but gives a frame to head/neck ...

I think Brooke Hair goes best with this outfit. It has both the natural casual feel that matches the clothes and the flattering framing of the face, which looks great with her features.

I don't think there's even a way for you to copy your morphs over to Genesis? Like the morphs you've used for the gen 4 charries? If there is I'm not aware of it and if there is dangit that would be useful as heck.

The problem with genesis I'm facing at the moment is that it's a lot more taxing for your computer to handle over he gen4 figures... but , you have a good system and I doubt that's a problem

I like either the second or the forth tbh. The forth might actually look kinda cool with a purpleish diffuse at the top down to pink, too.

I'd go for either Brooke or Bad Girl - with Bad Girl being a touch 'sassier'
