Description Day 16: Living Weapon

A little piece inspired by H.R. Giger's art. Also been playing Scorn recently.

"Giger's Blade was the signature weapon of the itinerate knight by the same name who wore a very unusual suit of armour that bore the same unusual design as his weapon. According to the knight he was gifted his fantastic arsenal after attempting to save the life of a strange humanoid being who fell from the sky in a strange ship. The humanoid was fatally wounded in the crash and ended up dying 2 days later, but not before he gave his armour, weapons and the few intact pieces of technology left from his destroy ship as parting gifts to Sir Giger. Giger's Blade is made of living tissue and an otherworldly alloy that surpasses the best steel in the land in terms of strength and edge retention, and its believed the sword actually self-sharpening. Its cross guard are a pair of pincers that can clamp down with enough force to break just about anything that gets caught in them. It also housed a long tendril with stinger-like protrusion at the tip that would connect to the vambrace of the armour it came with. A web-like structure under the cross guard would tighten around the wielders hand and prevented the weapon from slipping of hand during combat. But the unusual, and horrifying, aspect of the sword was it's ability to drain a foe completely of their bodily fluids upon impalement due to the lines of orifices along the length of the blade. The sword would transfer the victims fluids to the armour via the cord where it would somehow power the armour. The swords ghastly functions, as well as the armours frightening alien appearance, struck terror in foe and bystanders alike who believed Sir Giger to be some kind of monster or demon or at the very least that his panoply was of demonic origin."
