last night I FOUND HERMIONE!!!!!

Here's how it all started- i have been working on this sketch of her for a portrait for a while, a few days, and the only thing keeping me going is i really love the general feeling of it and the hair, only her face looks JUST LIKE ME. as they usually do. so i got to thinking- i have these phases of what i teach myself art-wise, like anatomy. i had (and am still in) my anatomy phase. I've had a "character development" phase on and off for a while, but nothing's really stuck. i've been searching for a way to define my characters with individual realistic features while staying in my own style.
so i was working on this portrait and like DAMN this is really annoying and decided to start with the easiest feature to change: the nose. i found this [link] amazing nose tutorial, which got me started. suddenly i was just busting out these sketches and it was like i was in a trance and then i looked down and was like...holy crap. THAT"S HERMIONE!!!!!

of course, harry's there too but i'm less excited about him because i've done harrys i like before. never a hermione, though.
I also apologize in advance for the incurably emo hair. i really like it. (except it's a LITTLE too big...i'll fix later.)
i've really missed doing potter art.
