YES YES YES. My favourite band. I've been thinking of doing a series of PMVs of their albums, but that would be a very tricky challenge and would take a looooong time, so it's a ways off. You read the liner notes as well as listening to the music, right? Because if you've just heard it, it's like watching TV and just getting the audio.
This really reminds me of the MM1 boxart, and then the MM9-10 "boxart" promo pics Capcom made that emulate that style and look extremely badass.
(Psst, you should totally draw scenes from the albums with ponified characters.)

I have read the linear notes. I've forgotten what most of them say and only used them to get an idea of how I would imagine what is going on.
This should remind you of the vintage boxart. When I think of doing a Protomen image I shy away from the typical Megaman style and go more for the box art.

"Liner". Like, comes with the CD. It explains what's going on in the scenes and provides a bunch of backstory that the songs don't. The instrumental song in Act 1 ("Funeral For a Son") has stuff happening in it, even. But either way, awesome band, and I'm really looking forward to the finished version of this poster.

I did read those. I just barely remember what they said because I have my own interpretation of how things go down that syc'd up with each album pretty well. And their liners. They did a really good job of telling you what's going on in the song, in the song.
