Oil on canvas. 22"x28".Commission. Poster and album cover for local rock group of the same name.
I found the name "Sonic Aftermath" to be very inspirational. This painting alludes to the creation of the universe (or universes) up to the present, including String Theory references.
Besides as a design element my biomorphic imagery also alludes to dark matter and dark energy.

This reminds me of Madeleine L'Engle's principle of "cosmos in chaos" as described in Walking on Water. Amazing work.

Thank you. The band wanted musical notes in the painting but left it up to me how to present them. The term,"sonic aftermath" helped with my interpretation.
