Description
In 2018 NRR purchased a few former New Jersey Transit F40PH-2CAT's that were retired from NJT in 2014 three of them were later patch over for sometime and later in 2020 when they went to the shops for a rebuilt three were repainted in the updated version of NRR's blue with yellow stripes C&O inspired paint scheme with the roof painted black and renumbered 2235-2237 while the remaining four were given a repaint of their NJT disco stripe paint and return to service later on NRR rebuilt three of their former Amtrak F40PH's to F40PH-2CAT's and they were also repainted in NRR colors and renumbered 2238-2240
