In Portal 2 ch.5 you can see Chell's science project from "daughter to work day". It's the really huge one. People wonder how it got so big. It's obvious why Chell's potato is bad-ass. Her file claims that she is extremely stubborn, so she went out of her way to make her project the best. So she went into one of the labs, stole a growth serum, and jacked the hell out of that potato. Thus winning with stubbornness.Related content

Hmm... Probably. Technically. Then again, it seems like it didn't take very long between GLaDOS's completion and her, y'know, murdering everyone... But then, BYDtW Day could've been a way to get lots of testing subjects that wouldn't know how to shut her down and/or fight back too too much, considering how good the timing is and I think it was implied in the first game's side materials... So... maybe it's Caroline's identical twin Karalyn?

Eh. I suppose "Cara Mia" does hint at Caroline being the mother, not so much Cave, considering he died in the 70's and would be to sick to... well you know.

Yeah, the only real problem is the timeline doesn't really add up. But it even says on the potato's display board that it was done by Chell and the parents were Cave and Caroline.
Also, in the portrait of Cave and Caroline, you can see a child poorly painted into the background. (Faintly.)
And if you've read the Rattman comic on valve's website (I think it's on [link] ) in it you see Chell has been in stasis since she was a child.
I think she's probably older than she looks, but younger in her mind.
Someone also had the theory that because Cave didn't want a child, then it was Caroline who painted Chell into the portrait. And maybe Cave forced Chell on one of the employees. Hence, when GLaDOS was in POTaTOS mode, she still said Chell was adopted (and it's terrible), even though she can't lie when she's like that.

I still say that potato couldn't have been left over from when Chell was little. Also, Chell's eye is a TINY bit too far from her nose. But I still love this. Its awesome.
