I find it interesting that the central round shape seems at once to be a reflecting spheroid and also a circular portal through which the distant background is viewed.

This was used (with my permission) on the cover of a Sydney Austrailia metal band's first promotional CD. Band is Trancending Mortality and are very good.

Nice, it really looks planetary. But if you want to add to the more planetary look you might try doing some infrastructure and so on the planet.
Otherwise, ver yneat and clean.

Thanks for your comments. actually, I don't bevel the text; well I do but thru a brushed chrome filter. Actually, the image for prints is huge and the text shows differently on the large image (even though the DA image is a reduced copy).

I see. Interesting, I'll have to take your word for it until I can start buying prints again.

I was thinking you meant the edge beveling but now think you meant the letter design. The font is Realvirtue and I really like the tech look of it. Oh well, not everything appeals to everyone. I really appreciate your feedback however.

so much brushing detail! very nice.
but a little more depth would look better, especially the round sphere!

Thanks a lot for your comments. Actually, no brushing. 3 lens flares is the only image change other than a slight sharpness filter, color shift and boosted contrast. Oh, the sphere was resized and rotated to match main image.

Thanks a lot Jeff. Actually, I thought this was going to be posted 04/12/04! The time stamp of post is actually after 12:00. May not get so many looks, but oh well.
I took my time on this one and really planned it out.

I'm still lost as to when a new day begins here. You'll still get the views this one deserves. Has to be your best one yet.
