Description Another sentai in the bag, thus another red ranger! I like the idea of having a lead character who is extremely comfortable in tough situations and makes you glad to have as a leader. Being a person who has been close to losing family and comrades, but saved them in tight spots, Type Red is selected as the best candidate to lead the other Arsenal Types to defend against the various villains. He also thrives at helping make others better in the group than they were solo. His only downfall is he can act on emotion a bit too much and puts a bit too much of himself into missions, causing him to take things personally, reacting mainly on his emotions of the situation.

Type Red has an emphasis on close range combat, involving shotguns as the primary weapon of choice. I also am playing with the idea of having the rangers granting access of their arsenals to other rangers, causing their abilities to increase for a certain time. An example would be Red having Yellow Arsenal and would cause the shotguns to have explosive rounds.

Enjoy!

Once again I really think the sepia works well with the red of his suit, which I also feel is a really good shade of red due to it being bright and vibrant. I'm not sure if you've used this red on some of your other recent Sentai teams but I think it works well.

The idea of the team being able to combine their abilities is something I'd like to see. I believe I said before I saw a review of Kamen Raider W, which is based around transforming using two different flash drives, allowing their Rider form to basically be two halves together (it's what inspired my, admittedly quite weird with hindsight, "Combo Sentai" idea I mentioned a while back), so I'm curious to see how combine their weapons and what the resulting designs and attacks look like.

Also, I realise this may go against the gun motif you've had but would Red carry any form of knife seeing as how he is the close range fighter?

As always, thanks! The red is the same I have always used and it is actually the red used on Mewrah's shirt if you need a frame of reference.

I think ToQger expands on this idea quite nicely of 'ability swapping'. And as always, I'll be working on a picture to show this concept for the Arsenal Rangers.

I do have a knife planned for Green, so stay tuned when I reveal this concept on dA. I probably should include knifes for all of them, now that you mentioned it...hmmmm....

Speaking of, when will you be uploading that? It's an amazing piece and I'm keen to post it on my front page . I actually had some friends round mine a few weeks back and after discussing art I decided to show them the pieces you sent me, and they were amazed at just how good they were .

Granted I need to actually watch ToQger to fully understand it, but to me it just seems like a gimic to have a male pink and female green instead of actually making an official pink male/green female ranger. Granted I can understand the lack of former but I think the second is long over due. I also saw a picture online a few days ago from a recent episode that refereed to a "TOQO" next to "ToQ 6", suggesting a seventh member of the team.

I've been playing a lot of Betafield... I mean Battlefield 4 recently. Not my game of choice but a lot of my friends play it and I'm more interested in the social side of it and every player has a knife equipped so it would make sense if each of the Arsenal Rangers had one. The game does allow you to chose from a handful of different designs so maybe one idea you could do is give each member a unique knife. I'm also keen to see how the Green Ranger turns out.

Tis a bit late on this reply as Mewrah has been posted, so yep, she's uploaded!

As always, thank you for the compliments and I'm glad to see my pics were a hit!

ToQger is very gimmicky in my opinion, as the first episode, they all keep switching colors and keep going and going and going with it to the point where the conductor yells at them and forces them to all switch back. They sort of killed any excitement for this concept and I guess what's the point of ever doing it again? It's not like they had specific moves when they switch, it's just a color change and they get that color's weapon. That's it.

I've been playing Splinter Cell Blacklist and Sam's knife has an awesome design and would recommend a look. I'm hoping to get around to work on Team Mismatch soon, but with Mother's Day this weekend, no art will be coming from my side.

No worries. I'm pretty sure I was gushing with "OMG SHE IS SO AWESOME !" my comment, as always And glad to hear your glad to hear they went down well. I do need to look into frames to keep them safe.

That's what I'm thinking, which I think is a shame. It's almost like they wanted an excuse to have males and females in colours they're rarely portrayed in. It would have made more sense in say Shinkenger or Kyoryuger where characters had special elemental powers or weapons with their suits and powers.

Looking at it remindes me of a raptor's claw. It's got an awesome design so I am keen to see what you do with it.

I keep forgetting in America you guys celebrate it in May; we have ours back in March .

It's not a problem at all. I'm glad you approve of my rendition and will comment on Mewrah's pic soon.

It's almost felt like they wanted fans to stop talking about making a possible female red, so they came up with the color swap and have the rangers constantly switch to the point where fans want them to stop. I feel Shinkenger did it quite well so Toei, you don't have to shove it down our throats. We get it.

I thought so too. I would recommend the game if you like stealth-based games. The game rewards you if you use stealth or straight up assault.

And like always, nothing really came about from Mother's Day. Or Memorial Day for that matter. I sketched two new fighter for Global Knuckle and that's about it. I guess when I have vacation, the body wants to relax and that's it!

Maybe. Having not watched the series yet I can't really comment on whether it was overused or not. The more I've watched of Kamen Rider, the more I wish Sentai handled any form change in a similar fashion - certain forms are useful for certain situations. Granted that would be them stepping too much on the toes of their sibling but I think that's the approach they need to take rather than "Hey we can change things around. Why? Because!" angle they seem to be with ToQger and possibly did with Gokaiger.
