Wasn't Skaar born after the destruction of Hulk's kingdom? Unless you haven't read the story already.

I knew that Skaar was born at the end of Planet Hulk with the destruction of Hulk's kingdom. I was going off of the identity crisis he had when he was first established within the Marvel universe; his home is gone, his mother is dead and his father is the only thing he had.

Personally, I wished they stopped at the "happy ending" in planet Hulk. That way, if they wanted, Hulk's son would have been Earth's "New Incredible Hulk" and learn to understand why his father left in the first place, or why he bothered to help at all.
Alas that may never be now.

I do agree with you there. I wished that Marvel would actually do something with the Hulk universe that doesn't involve lousy writing and have a lack of imagination. It's not hard to have Hulk be interesting, but I guess it is for them. Skaar's now a part of the Dark Avengers, which if it makes the character somewhat interesting, I'm for it, but I do like the idea of making Skaar the new IH for Earth.
