Like I do with every stamp that uses screenshots, I'll put this in my scraps eventually.I made this stamp primarily due to the fact that I've been receiving a LOT of criticism from trolls and such about enjoying a recently popular animated show.
(Bet you guys can't guess which one! Major hint- it's not featured in this stamp!)
Anyway, I do love animated shows and films aimed toward all ages. Animation (as a whole) is just really fun to research...no doubt about it!

I think what's difficult are viewers who don't accept that different cartoons have different audiences in mind.
And I agree there's nothing wrong with appreciating cartoons aimed for different people.

There are cartoons I like that I used to watch when I was younger. An example is VeggieTales.
I also like adult cartoons. An example is South Park.
The Iron Giant is a great movie.

I support Futurama, Bugs Bunny and other "cartoonie" shows, so it's great that you made a stamp like that: I would watch "cartoon" shows with way younger family members so I don't think it cause a problem with me so "peace out" for this stamp.

Anime is (technically) a type of cartoon.
If a film is created with clay (stop motion), a computer, or a pencil, it is an animated cartoon, not a live action film. Because Totoro (as well as most anime) is created using a series of drawings, they are cartoons.

Anime, from Japanese people is cartoon, but in Europe, itΒ΄s a difference.
There are old so many old anime created with pencil. Anime is not a new thing, I saw Anime when I was a little girl, and, when my father was a little kid, existed, too.
The creator was Osamu Tezuka, who did Astroboy in the year 1952.
Totoro was made by Hayao Miyazaki in 1988, but Disney bought the movieΒ΄s right.
So, itΒ΄s an anime.

Disney bought the rights to distribute Totoro into the US, but the film still belongs to Studio Ghibli...
If an animated film is created in Japan (no matter who owns the rights), it will always be anime....
