Description
This was gonna be a winter break pic, but I procrastinated. A lot. But still, it's done, and I'm really really happy with it.

This shows Sonic and Tails huddling down next to the exit to an icy cave in the Ice Cap Zone. It's one of my most favorite levels EVER, mainly because of the beatiful music that it's accompanied by.

And let me tell you now, I am never, EVER doing ice again. Snow? Yes. Ice? NO. Because if you look at it, you'll notice that the "path" is actually a rivulet of frozen snowmelt over more snow, and those stalagmites are also made of ice. Those reflections in that ice was incredibly hard. @_@ But still, I managed to find a way to get it to look like ice, and so I'm rather pleased with the outcome. The snow was fun to do though, blowing in through the entrance like that. :3
Also, check out the reflections on Sonic's eyes. Cool, huh?

BUT NEVER AGAIN. I love Ice Cap with all my heart, but I think that's the last you'll ever see of an icy picture from me for a long time.

Oh, and the reason that the lineart is clunkier than usual is because the lineart was made on paper. Consider this my first true tradigital picture, combining paper lineart with digital coloring.

Materials were an inking pen, a thin pen, paper, and Adobe Photoshop (all hail the dodge and burn tools!)
