Yesh, this is my entry for Emi Mills' Boss Battle contest. The rules are to draw any boss battle from any Sonic game. I chose the Marble Gardens boss. Then I got this idea into my head, and I HAD to draw this comic.

Marble Gardens probably has my favorite S3&K boss in it. You fly in the air as Tails, and Robotnik in his eggmobile tries to run you over. To hurt him, you either have to A: Drop Sonic on him, or B: Hit his underside with Tails' tails. And you're probably... a mile high in the air. Sonic's nerves must have been shot, for I kept dropping him into the abyss below. XD And so, he's getting back at Tails for making him plummet onto Robotnik's eggmobile a mile in the air.

I decided to have a cartoony look to it, and I also wanted it to look a lot like Marble Gardens. So I got some nice tall grass, open blue sky, and I actually took the time to DIG OUT MY SONIC GEMS game from it's dusty little hold, and DRAW EVERY LITTLE DETAIL ON THE MARBLE GARDEN'S EGGMOBILE. And I luv it! <3

Yes, in panels 3 and 4 I got lazy and copy/pasted Sonic. =-P

This also gives me an excuse to practice Tails's tails when they're spinning. I think they came out really well. I also like the way I did Sonic in the last panel. He looks evil! <3

And for more proof that this is Marble Gardens, if you look closely at the ruin in the first panel, you can make out the words, 'Marble Gardenz Yo!'.
