KINGDOM : Elpis (though was brought from Pandemoria)

PHYSICAL APPEARANCE
HEIGHT : 175cm
HAIR STYLE/COLOR : Long, straight with curled tips. White silver-frost.

PERSONALITY TRAITS
LIKES : Flowers, science, literature, arts, music, caring for people, fashion, debate, travel.
DISLIKES : Flying, being idle, being told she cannot do something, flirtatious men... or men in general.
FEARS : Accidentally freezing others. Other fears N/A
RELIGIOUS VIEWS: Agnostic. She believes in that there is an Arceus, however that he has little to no effect on the world around them. Arceus is a creator, but does not predetermine their fates. She neither worships nor disregards the idea.
♦ GENERAL ATTITUDE
First glance: Like her pokemon counterpart, the noble woman can come off as very aloof, her icy demeanor strong and somewhat intimidating to many. She doesn’t seem very keen on trusting others that wander her castle or kingdom; however, this is quite justified considering all three of the previous Elpis leaders have disappeared without a trace, presumed dead. She is suspicious of others and strongly unforgiving when it comes to matters of safety and broken trust. Her word is her honor, and she can be quite blunt, preferring honesty to twisted truths.

Digging deeper: Once you gain her trust, it’s quite a different matter altogether. Leti is a very warm-hearted person and doesn’t judge a person based on what other people say, preferring to form her own opinions of others. She has a very motherly demeanor and enjoys having guests over, even going as far as taking in people who are in times of hardship. She loves children and isn’t against teasing others, often sharp tongued with her words and quips.

Regarding Love: Leti is not one to believe in love-at-first-sight; intellect and determination catch her eye, and those who have goals and plans also gain a healthy dose of respect from her. Show her you can think and form your own opinions, and you may be regarded.

♦ GENERAL INTELLIGENCE
A quick glance at her new room in the Elpis castle and a quick peek at her previous home in Pandemoria will tell you that Leti does love to read. She’s memorized near all of the books she’s received over the many years and studied in both Persephoneia and Eisenberg, fascinated by science, architecture and alchemy. While not a terrible fan of religion, she does enjoy learning new things and over the years has accumulated an extensive knowledge of many concepts and events. A quick way to pique her interest is to start a conversation on science or botany.

HISTORY

From bastard child to legendary—now ruling her own country—the Regice Queen did not reach her position without hardship.

Born as a bastard child from the coupling of an Oneiros Noble and a simple scullery woman, Naledi’s future did not look promising. Upon reaching a workable age, she joined her mother at the Beaumanoir estate and was repurposed as a playmate and personal servant to one of Lord Beaumanoir’s children—a half sibling of the dark skinned child. Over the decade, Naledi grew alongside her half siblings not as an equal, but instead as their property; refused education and ordered to do things that she felt she was not entitled to do. Unsettled by this matter over time, she approached her oldest ‘siblings,’ the now-adult children of the household, with a rather peculiar request. Intrigued and supportive, the children had known about their half sibling for years and she had gained their love and respect during her time as their companion.

On the night of the summer celebrations, Leti made her presence quite aware in the noble community, forcibly claiming her birthright with the backing of the Beaumanoir heirs. Much to the surprise of the nobility attending, Lord Beaumanoir begrudgingly acknowledged her status and formally adopted her; his children has previously blackmailed him into the deed by threatening to release his banking books to the tax collectors. Apparently jail for tax evasion was a much greater threat to the man than confirming his disloyalty to the Lady of the house.

Her stay in the household did not last long after that. Acknowledged as a noble, Naledi left to Persephoneia to pursue her education—a reason that intrigued the Beaumanoir children and led them to help her claim her title. Their once-playmate was not asking for their land or wealth, but only to have the ability to travel freely and have access to the libraries coveted by the nobles, seeking education. Here in Perse, she spent much of her time learning of the history and religion of the region, but took a particular interest in botany.

Naledi had been content in the country of Persephoneia with their extensive resources of knowledge and education until she stumbled upon a book from Eisenberg, snatched from a burning pile of books near a church. To her, it was a destruction of unprecedented nature; each page of painstakingly transcribed work loaded with precious information did not deserve to be destroyed in any form. Much to her surprise, in its blasphemous contents she found fascinating information of sciences and alchemy, unheard of arts in perse and making her restless to know more. Eventually, the book sparked her journey to the industrial kingdom of innovation and invention.

Here Eisenberg, the woman dabbled in alchemy and found herself quite adept at medicine, her extensive knowledge of plants and their properties proving remarkably useful in the field. The kingdom’s fast growing nature and wonderfully fashionable clothing had her immediate attention and she moved here for the time. She had seriously considered making Eisenberg her permanent home and joining the Alchemist guild when she was summoned to a ball in Pandemoria—a personal invitation from her previously neglectful father. Curious as to the reason for her summons, she left her new home and took a ship to Pandemoria.

Upon arrival, the woman was less than pleased to find out a dowry had been paid and she was expected to marry. Outraged at the prospect, Naledi was quick to refuse and went to confront her fiancé personally at his home—but little did she know the visit would change her forever. It seemed her suitor had also been forcibly arranged in the agreement and was not going to allow himself to marry a half-blooded noble. He arranged for her assassination and after a series of quick events, he found himself pleased to know he was no longer entitled to marry—after all, how can you marry someone who’s run away and was lost to the harsh snowstorms?

Needless to say, Naledi was not one to simply run away and had been attacked during her travel. Wounded and crippled by injuries, she was dragged into the Blizzard to die of exposure. Knowing she had to find shelter, she followed the song of a pokemon and was led to a cave of an absol. It was ironic to her that she had been saved from a dismal fate by a harbringer of chaos, but now out of the elements, she was quickly fading from blood-loss. Knowing her time was short, she spoke to the absol of her plans for the future; how she wished to change the views of the world and make life fairer—if not fair, then at the very least, educated—to lessen the gap between the castes, genders and ranks.

Impressed by her drive and wish to change the world around her, the absol was ready to offer the prospect of a bond for survival—only to be quickly overtaken by a much greater power, its perish song interrupted by the lighting of runes carved deep in the cave. Regice had been awoken and was intrigued by this prospect of so many changes—what if it lent this human its powers? How much could such change do? Such a forceful person with such strong convictions—could they stand their ground against ancient traditions…?

Many days later, the pandemorian ball now in full-swing, a dark skinned beauty with unfathomably bright blue eyes commanded all attention upon her arrival with her strikingly light hair and snowy attire—an absol at her side.
---
Naledi trained her elemental gifts with the mages of Pandemoria, mastering the craft and found herself unable to interact with the plants she once loved dearly. To help avoid the feeling of loss, she stayed in the snowy lands and continued to train others. Many decades passed and people she once knew grew old and met their fate with time. With the absol and its decendents, she sought out those lost in the snow and offered them safe travel in the unforgiving clime up—until the day she was approached by Palkia’s host with news of the passing of the Elpis rulers.

Maybe I'm not being thorough enough, and if that is the case then I apologize, but is her name Naledi or Leti? Or is Leti Naledi's mother?

Regardless, wonderful job you have done with this character.

Her name is Naledi, but she's also nicknamed Leti at times since Naledi can be difficult for some to pronounce.

Thank you very much, and keep an eye out for her redesign~! it should be out soon if i can get...motivated to color it haha.
