Tenzin is going to get his butt kicked, whether his theory works or not!Inspired by a conversation with *PinkPonyFarts - we've come up with a few crack-pot theories on how Lin can get her bending back. EPISODE 10 MAKES US SO VERY SAD

But there's the possibility that the person shooting is faster than them and shoots/kills them before they even have a chance to move, or if they sneak up behind the person and shoot them without the victim realizing it.

Β The original guns of medieval time that were essentially tubes filled with gunpowder and mini-lead balls, which were so ineffective that bows and arrows were still commonly for a couple of centuries until improvements came in the 1800's. Even then the modern guns only appear roughly 80 years. In the avatar universe the development of guns would be impossible because there was NO NEED for them. Since "proto-guns" that would be used in original series would be useless compared to the ability to move mountains, control rivers, bend air or generate lighting and fire from your fingertips. So guns weren't given the chance to develop.Β

Ok, you're making this WAY too complicated now. I'm talking about modern guns here, bud. Like what would happen if someone from the modern world somehow ended up in their universe, and they had a MODERN gun with them, like an AK-47 for example.
So you're saying the non-benders didn't need a way to defend themselves? Not everyone is a bender, and not everyone can defend themselves with bending! You get chi-blocked, you're screwed unless you had a weapon with you.
Can we drop the subject now? Both of us are obviously stubborn in what we believe in, and you're just making everything complicated.
