This was taken near the trail coming from Mesa Arch back to the parking lot in Canyonlands National Park. The tree in the foreground caught my eye. I liked the way the clouds mimicked the shape and size of the tree at that angle, and that orange rock formation helped complete the composition.Although I did increase saturation a bit, that deep blue comes from shooting 90 degrees from the sun with a polarizer filter. I also used a 3 stop GND filter to balance the exposure.

This was taken at the end of Janurary. October is a great time of year there, the temperatures should be nice.
