Aaaahhhhhh... It feels so good to go shoot again!Due to some personal happenings I haven't had time or motivation to get out and shoot. Now that things have settled down I grabbed my camera and tripod and headed out searching for some solitude and good light. I found both this evening. It has been too long since I've taken the time to slow things down and pay attention to the day turning to night.
As far as composition goes this frame is pretty standard, I just moved my camera up and down until it looked right. The chunk of land in foreground provided a nice diagonal line cutting through the frame.
I used a 2G SS filter to hold back the sky a bit, as well a polarizer to cut down on reflections and deepen the blue in the sky.
Canon 5D. 17-40L. Circ polarizer. 2G-SS filter.

I think this is such an appropriate shot for you having been inspired again. It's so....inspirational. Like, a religious, hopeful type shot. The way the light filtered in, the mountains...all of it comes together very, very nicely.

Its good to be back posting things again, i can't tell you how jealous of your weather I am. I could use some of that spring weather. We've got a lot of snow this year, our spring is still a couple of months away. Thanks for the comments.
