Description
Bricklin SV-1 GULL WING
Yeah, now I certainly do know that this radical gull wing from the 1970s was voted by TIME magazine as the 50 worst
cars ever made in human history, as many parts in the body and frame of this car was made of plastic (sort of giving
it a very furniture like ride quality) and of course, it was flamboyant, meaning that it caught on fire very often
However, Mr. Malcom Bricklin, the man who brought this stunning American classic sports car, certainly did justice to
gullwing sports cars such as the classic Mercedes 300SL and the upcoming Bugatti EB110 and other stuff (Mercedes SLS,
Bristol Fighter coupe etc.)
And of course, with this, less than 3000 of these edgy coupes have been built, but if you were looking for something
else other than the C3 Corvette of the same era, the Bricklin was just that.
If I had one, I would do an engine swap with a 2L Turbocharged Hyundai Genesis Coupe 282 bhp engine (2014)
Then it would be a real hotrod from USA with Korean soul, something which I would really like and appreciate.
I know engine swap is very expensive, but I think the Bricklin and the Delorean would be worth it due to their
uniqueness in the automotive world.
All done in pen and took around 7 hours to do, due to the gullwing doors and the seats in the interior.

You made a mistake on where the Bricklin came from. It's a Canadian car not American.
The car was built and sold in Canada through 74 till 75. There an guy in New BrunswickΒ that rebuilds them and sells them.Β

Of course
Not many, but there's quite a big amount of them on the Dutch roads. (I even don't have any pics of those too) the estate version is the rarest of all.

Those are a Β bit common, but it depends on the year of the Crown Victoria. Those latest models which often were used by the American government are not very popular over here. The Caprice Classic from the 90's is.

I remember seeing the Bricklin at a motor museum in England. I never knew it had gullwing doors!
