Not really. I don't really use refs for pieces because I'm just not that good at using them. Pieces change so much while I'm making them that any refs I use become kinda useless. I sometimes use general reference, like to see how things look, get a feel for their color, etc. But specifically copying what's on a photo to a picture I don't do.
