− 1260: Aged 45, Tarō is killed during the Invasion of Tōrōgakure by The Masked Men.

Kitsune Tarō, known by friends as "The Man Among Men" and by enemies as "Beast among Men,"
was the Fourth Akarikage (Village Leader) of Tōrōgakure and the Clan Leader of The Kitsune Clan .
Tarō is one of Tōrōgakure's most famous heroes and one of the few heroes the young generation witnessed,
growing up in his presence up until his untimely death in 1260, during the masked Invasion of Tōrōgakure.

Despite his Legendary Combat Prowess and Fierce Reputation as one of Tōrōgakure's greatest warriors,
Tarō was known best for being uncommonly kind, gentle and honest to his friends and merciful to his foes.
He would never attack a weaker opponent and generally disliked violence and avoided combat at all costs,
preferring to solve problems with heart−to−heart discussions and honest diplomacy over political intrigue.
Much of his time was spent at the Academy interacting with the future generation of shinobi in their youth,
as he believed that cultivating the next generation is the most important factor to Tōrōgakure's prosperity.
Tarō considered every single villager of Tōrōgakure, no matter what clan they were from, part of his family.
And should someone threaten his family or his village, he would protect them with the ferocity of fifty men.

Tarō is known for many contributions, most notably his restructuring of the shinobi Academy curriculum,
allowing students who excelled in areas to still graduate from the academy despite not meeting in all areas.
This was initially met with some criticism, but led to greatly increased enrollment into the Shinobi Academy,
especially in the clan−less population of Tōrōgakure, many of which didn't pass strict enrollment standards.

Tarō also did wonders for clan relations in Tōrōgakure primarily by mending old wounds from the Kitsune,
with the help of his former teammates Clan Head Asukai Yamato (III) and Clan Patriarch Uranami Yuuzen.
Though he was unable to rebuild the burnt bridges between their clans, conditions did improve over the years.
And with the efforts of their sons Akihiko  and Mugon , the Kitsune and Uranami are on better terms than before.
He was also a key negotiator in coercing the Shirogane into joining Tōrōgakure and a close friend to the Hitoyo.

But what Tarō is perhaps most famous for in Shintenchi is his skill as a shinobi and his combat prowess.
Even during his childhood, Tarō was a pupil to Yamato I, the Third Akarikage during the Second Great War,
and took part in extremely dangerous missions only Jōnin would be sent on in his early teens out of necessity.
Shortly after for his valor and talent, he was promoted and became the youngest Akarikage in village history.
And at the end of the war, Tarō led the attack on Kyōkokugakure − Supposedly destroying it single-handedly.
Though he did his best to conceal this side of him in Tōrōgakure so that the younger shinobi would not idolize it,
and instead idolize the kind, friendly demeanor and diplomatic solutions he believed were the key to the future.
