Description

VOCALOID SYSTEMS VMD SPECTRUM ANALYZER STAGE

Well, this is a bit embarrassing but how this all started was that people keep asking me how to use the VMD Spectrum software and for a long time I've simply pointed people to the definitive tutorial on the subject matter by AddestorionVayanis.  Well, after awhile it became a bit tiresome and there wasn't really anywhere to peg a permanent link so I thought: "what the heck", I can just make a tutorial on basically the same thing and leave it in my Tutorials gallery and be done with it.

But, I didn't just want to duplicate the information found in the original tutorial so in the interest of being totally self-serving, I wrote it up specifically on how to use the software for preparing data for use on my stages. But the thing is that any tutorial on this application needs a model to work with as it's a "visual thing", so I decided to build one ... sigh ... and as usual I ended up building a lot more than I intended to and so it ended up as shown above. And honestly, when I first played with it, it's pretty darn neat.

So here it is, a simple Plug N' Play stage with full support for the VMD Spectrum software bundled together with the tutorial and illustrated set up instructions. As for the VMD Software itself, you'll find it hosted on Bowlroll under in it's author's catalog (ArcticP)(link given below).

Credits are documented in full inside the package so I won't relist them here.

I downloaded my copy from Bowlroll.net. I've never had an issue with viruses with any files I got from them, yet.

Direct Sound is an outdated Microsoft audio technology. Your comment doesn't tell me enough for me to offer any constructive help with your issue.

In the first 45 minutes I had 40 hits on the video.
Can I enlarge the dance floor? (from 1 to 1.5)?
Is it the equalizer display also "stand Allone"?

At the very beginning when I loaded the stage, I wanted to use it ...
It has for a while and try Many used but sometime Did it work ...

Thank you Don

The stage and it's components are not re-sizable. This particular stage was actually built as an introductory model for people wanting to learn about VMD Spectrum. It's not really built to be a full performance stage so it does have some limitations, primarily being it's size.

I saw this stage when I was looking for one of your other stages, but the YT User didn't specify the stage name for each user, but one of yours is part of it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=X7YCyA… is that video.

Well, I now know what I'm going to start figuring out how to use for some of my MMD videos!!! I just can't wait to take a crack at this stage and see what I can do and how some things play out. I'm planning a Remote Control Vid with probably Kirito from SAO and Mikasa from SNK, but I haven't decided yet... But I LOVE how that demo shown how this stage works!!!

I tried torinoko City with it and MMD wouldn' take the data no matter what I did... Well, I can try Bad Apple then!

Yup, another fine work. Should influence the use of VMDSpectrum with MMD as an area that is not currently used as much as it could ....

One of the limiting factors is that most people think that the software can only move bars which gets boring after the initial novelty wears off. But the true power of the application is that almost ANY type of facial can use the data and that opens up a lot of real possibilities. One really has to "think outside of the box" to get the most out of this really neat application.
