Description In 1968, steam had been completely abolished on the mainland.  Gordon was saddened by this, especially since a good portion of them were most of his brothers, all drawn at Doncaster at the same time as him.  Fortunately, one remained, and that one was brought in by Sir Topham Hatt as a consolation for Gordon.  Flying Scotsman, who at this point had two tenders (one for coal and one for extra water), had travelled miles to visit his brother, Gordon.  Both were pleased to see each other again, and had a good chat about the "Doncaster ways".

Fun Fact: When the story, "Tenders for Henry", was adapted for TV as "Tender Engines", it was originally going to be closer to the novel version, in which Flying Scotsman would have made a full appearance.

NOTES:

- Flying Scotsman's face is (of course) based on Gordon's with different eyebrows.  However, this isn't like the ERTL model, which was just Gordon's model painted in "Flying Scotsman" colors.  The eyebrows, here, are based on Den's (a character from the CGI special, "Day of the Diesels").
- The engine next to Gordon (on his right side) is Douglas.  The reason he's painted blue is, as usual, because I'm going by the RWS continuity in which he and his twin, Donald, had been painted blue shortly after they had both been accepted on Sodor.
