If you hadn't told us, I would've thought you were one of the original animators! This is good, everyone's completely in character! Yet let me reassure you that it doesn't even come off as mimicry to me (style excluded), as a bus trip would fit the series perfectly. Too bad they didn't make an episode of it, though...
