Candela Greene is my second Star Trek OC, and in truth, should have been my first. The only problem, she was never really fleshed out. The origins to her creation date back to October 29, 2004. With one image, Candela is practically conceived in the back of my mind. That day the episode "Boredland" is aired for Star Trek Enterprise, and I owe it all to Bobbi Sue Luther. Yet just an appearance wasn't enough. Up until then this was only the fourth time we ever seen an Orion female (including TAS). Of course the episode "Bound" would come around, and het the ball rolling for Candela. Officially, I'm not sure what month she first appeared , but it was 2005. I definitely know she first Role Played on the United Forces, but as far as ship, I can't remember.

Candela's story is a variable mess. One part of her backstory was always there though. She served on the USS Endeavor, and after Wolf 359, suffered from PSD. She would leave Starfleet, and (officially) end up as a Slave to a Romulan smuggler named Juraan. After the Dominion war, she would escape Juraan's ownership, and return to Starfleet. Other than that, she is Hermaphrodite.

Over time this has always remained the same, as well her father was a retired Admiral. But her roleplaying career was nothing compare to her Graphic Novel carerrthat made her more of the legend she is. In 1996, she became the first Captain in Star Trek: GENERATION FLEET, and probably the phenom of the the group. It was never my real intention for her ever to become Captain, yet it was the birth of a Legend.

Today, I wouldn't be surprise if she has a fan club. Just like Vanessa Yates, she is based on me. Although over time I had to retcon her history that leads her to the Command of the USS Crusader NCC-51492. Labeling it all would be futile, but one key change was to make her return to Starfleet start on the USS Expedition NCC-72677. Other than that everything else remains the same, including her daughter T'Van. Personally I don't understand how she surpassed Vanessa in popularity, but in the end I am proud of her for being who she is.
