Description Michelle Pfeiffer Catwoman maquette from Tweeterhead! Debuting at SDCC 2015, and going on pre-sale JULY 8th at Tweeterhead.com.

This was a tough piece to work on, but one I really loved seeing come together. Matt Black made the terrific base, ans she was molded by Mike Allen and painted exquisitely by David Fisher. A great team that I'm very happy to have been part of with Tweeterhead.

I'll post sculpt shots later once she's been on display at Comic Con.
Best!

Pfeiffer was much better than Hataway as catwoman IMO

I liked Hathaway more than I thought I would. I'm more forgiving of the Dark Knight trilogy than some.
But yeah, Pfeiffer's Catwoman is fantastic and unique.

Well done, team, she is gorgeous. I am sorry I'll miss seeing her in person. Courtesy of last weekend's Westercon 68 in SD, and a terrific art show director, the "not-niche-enough" pieces that didn't sell at that art show will be in the SDCC art show.

Oh yeah?! "not niche enough". Does that mean TOO popular? I hope they go over well at SDCC.
Thank you so much for the kind support on Catwoman!

keight In reply to TrevorGrove [2015-07-08 21:07:46 +0000 UTC]

I don't paint "hard science fiction" pieces. So what sold at the SF con was: a large framed color version of "A Good Book", the original "Just Imagine" (dragons involved), "OOoooo, a Shiny!" (dragon), "Paws Suit: K, Q, J" (redesigned court cards), "Dragons & Beer" (obviously), 4 dragon pendants (a trend appears), 3 abstract design pendants, a giant panda pendant, and one with a veil tail.

Prints of what were the more technically difficult originals will be in the SDCC show. Two small B&W mermaid type pieces, "Lullaby" and "A Good Book"; two small B&W centaur type pieces,"DAADDDYY!" and "Rubdown Between Chukkers"; "Sher Khan Is Not Amused"; a small "White Dragon II"; and the remaining astronomical/abstract pendant, along with the Leadbeater's Possum pendant.

Thank you for the good wishes.

Boy, I hear you....it's tough to honor what you do well and are passionate about when the stuff that sells tends to always be the same stuff over.....and over.......and over. It's the same in collectibles.....The popular stuff is rarely the stuff that I like to sculpt.

I hope the SDCC show proves successful!!!

Actually I am not a collector since I have zero statues.
Not that I wouldn't like to collect them, I have seen some absolutely amazing (your Elvira among them) but they are too pricey for my wallet.
This Catwoman is... well, I can only describe it as unbelievable.
It's one of the sexiest thing I have ever seen.
"Batman" and "Batman Returns" are two of my favourite movies, among the few that I have seen on the silver screen. I still remember the day when I went to the cinema for "Batman Returns", I saw it twice back to back. I was young then and I confess the stunning Ms. Pfeiffer in that latex suit shook me.
So imagine my face during the scene with Catwoman licking Batman's face.
It took me off-guard the first time but I kept my eyes peeled the second time!
Even now, when I watch the movie again that scene gives me goosebumps.
I have been in love with her (as one can be in love with a movie star) since "Scarface".

Memories of another time of my life... a much better one.
I hope you will excuse me for being so verbose, I just wanted to explain why this artwork of yours is so special to me.

That's really lovely to read! No apologies necessary, I'm happy it's important to you and part of a better time. Movies are like that! I remember seeing Batman Returns too! I was about 5 years old, I think. I was too young to really understand any of the sexual tones of the character, but I certainly loved the film! Her portrayal of Catwoman is so unique in the pantheon of screen Catwomen. She's the only one that's unraveling as the story unfolds...Michelle Pfeiffer gave her a real sense of madness at times, but also a great vulnerability that makes you care for the character as more than a villain.
Don't worry, this stuff is too expensive for me to own too! and I help make it! ha!

On a second thought, I must have seen her for the first time in "Ladyhawke" (another great movie).
I was in high-school in 1992.
I agree with you, she was perfect not only as Catwoman but as Selina too.

Don't worry, this stuff is too expensive for me to own too! and I help make it! ha!But you can always make your own
