Description Used a Tamron 90 coupled onto a Sony 35mm with a female to female adapter ring. Lighting was achieved with cooking foil and a Viltrox ring flash. 4:1 magnification. Also sorry about the vignetting the barrel of my 35mm is not quite large enough.

This is an AMAZING photo!!!

I have a question, I have a Sony a100 (going on 6 years) and I am really considering upgrading to an a77, would you recommend it for the average person??

Thank you!

I sure would; the a77 is almost perfect AND you will be able to use your lenses from the a100!
The only issue i have with the a77 is that it can be a little noisy at high iso and isn't a full frame. But seriously, for it's price it is crazy good.

Cheers

I'm using the kit lens that came with it mostly and I like my super zoom, macro, and wide angle it's the best camera EVER!

For my walk around the sony 16-80mm and the tamron 90mm for macro. Are you planning an upgrade?

Well I got a prime and a macro lens and my macro lens (which I love so much) has suddenly become hard to focus. Even in manual it feels like it's stuck. Not to the point where it won't move but more like its harder to move. I thought maybe I got sand in it but I constantly use a little blower thing and I don't see anything coming out.

But I would love a zoom lens that goes past 300 (although mine really is awesome! It is about 5-6 years old). And I'm saving up and hopefully getting something soon!

Ah i got sand stuck in mine once, was hard to turn the focus ring and made a scratching sound. I used one of those mini vacuum cleaner things and it fixed it, you could try that.

There so expensive! If only gear was cheaper.

I keep using it but there is only a slight release but not enough for it to be closest to normal :/ but hopefully if I keep cleaning it, it'll hopefully get better!

I know what you mean!! I would love an amazingly nice zoom lens BUT I have to say mine is very awesome and I'm so lucky to have it!

Wait which do you have? My 70-300 is just terrible, like purple fringing in places you didn't even think was possible lol

I have a 'Promaster EDO AF LD 70-300 TELE-MARCO' and yeah when things are really white it makes it purple. Do you know of a really good one that would work with the A77?

If you have the money perhaps go Zeiss, if not i hear good things about some of the sigma ones, which happens to be less than a thousand dollars.

So you're saying they have 75-300 (maybe even 400?) for less than 1000???

Haha i don't know about that. Idk im sure you could find some sort of epic second hand lens for that. But new... perhaps not.
