Description
As the summer wore on, the young man began to accept the fact the flamboyant beekeeper at the edge of town--Elf though she may be--was not a not a High Elf, was not going to magically transform herself into a giantess, and was not going to whisk him away on a sexy, fun-filled adventure........So disappointing....

I got sniped with a wasp recently x.x! BAM out of nowhere it darts to my jacket as im biking down the lane...his legs were stuck from the force I think,so I stopped and knocked him off =<. He was moving as I pulled away, so I hope hes okay x.x.
Also, the faces look different than your erstwhile style

What a coincidence, last summer I also ran into a wasp while biking. It hit my arm, and then stung me there. Hurt like heck, and really pissed me off....
....I think part of the faces here is that the lady's hair is a lot poofier than I usually draw.

I suspect he's just hoping for a drake because he's afraid to step out and risk being rejected. Clearly he needs a motivational push. That or has he considered that he isn't attractive enough? That could be such a funny drinking moment.
