this is a bit like one scene in "In Between Days" by Atrata... an AWESOME Snarry fic, my favorite, read it if you haven't yet. if you read it though, brace yourself for the end, it's STILL affecting me and i read IBD like 4 days ago.

Well. It's not a death fic per se, but there's a big plot twist at the end. It doesn't end in a happy way, it certainly stays with you after you've read it. Very epic. BUT the whole way through it's the best fanon Snape I've read. Basically, Snape takes Harry from the Dursleys, and they go off the grid for a while. The interactions between him and Harry are just awesome, and this fic's Harry is great, too.
